2024 Economic Outlook for CRE: Prepare for Choppy Seas

My associate, Lena Chan, and I just had an article published in Wealth Management Magazine about our thoughts on the economic outlook for commercial real estate in 2024.  We're just on day three of 2024, and I really don't want to start the year off on a sour note, but I think commercial real estate will continue to battle headwinds throughout 2024 before we start to see significant improvement in our industry.  It's not all doom and gloom, though. If the overall economy achieves the “soft landing” that more and more economists are predicting, the duration and severity of the CRE slowdown should be relatively moderate.
